The Winner Is

I stumbled into Technology nearly 20 years ago. Didn’t have an email address. Could barely type. But what I could do was grasp the ever changing complexity of technical systems. How they mapped to consumer, business, software and hardware needs. Translating that complexity is all I’ve ever done. A couple decades spent realizing my superpower; a razor sharp lens to see, dream, cast vision and relentlessly pursue opportunity in spaces where markets had yet to arrive. This is all I’ve ever done. Although at times early, in this white space i’ve found a home.

I’ve failed, I’ve learned, I’ve led innovation at some of the world’s biggest companies, shipping change in the form of technology that deeply affects millions of humans, billions of dollars, and shifted fundamentals across markets.

You ever answered a phone call or replied to a text message on your smartwatch? You’re welcome. I invented that.

Ever seen a product for sale on a social media platform? Maybe clicked ‘Buy Now’. You’re welcome. I invented that.

Using my imperfect knowledge, and will power, 27 AI models, 5 refactors, over a thousand hours on a Mac mini in Austin Texas. TARX is my final act in technology. About a year ago I made the decision to stop engaging VCs. I stopped burning the time of my peers wanting to build with me, I hit reset on all fronts and anchored in.

AI (and most software) should be free. Thinking, growing, dreaming, refining our thoughts. To learn. To achieve. To do. These capabilities should not be entangled within capitalistic frame works. We’ve advanced to the point within a society that tooling to support these needs, should bear no cost in access and benefit. TARX is free forever. On the devices you own today. Add more hardware if you need (most won’t).

Someone needs to attempt to end the extraction of value from humans. I’m game. Our data, knowledge, know-how, creativity, artifacts have been consumed by technology incumbents at a scale not thought imaginable. Orwell was right, but we’ve just handed it all over. In every way possible. This information has been weaponized against humanity in every way possible. That ends with TARX. Private by Design.

I’ve partnered up with NVIDIA for models and chips, a global leader Unitree for Robots, and Edge Compute & Security leaders. I’m designing more devices to come for the ecosystem that runs TARX as the antithesis of what large AI incumbents have forced down our throat.

The dorks have had a great run. Let’s hand ownership of what we think back to the people.

Today, TARX helps thousands think & do. In the next chapter, with devices, deeper integrations, and bringing on humans to help me, I think we see TARX helping millions.
